The Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of a high-profile trade rumor. On Wednesday, owner Jerry Jones was asked about any potential deals ahead of the NFL Draft.

Stephen Jones does not seem to be making any outbound calls with 12 days before the NFL trade deadline.
The Dallas Cowboys vice president stated Thursday that there is presently nothing on the “front-burner” in terms of trade talks, a testament to the team’s strength.
“Not with anything on the front burner right now.” If there’s an opportunity out there, it’s always great… But, at the same time, we have a lot of faith in this roster,” Jones stated, according to The Athletic, during an interview on 96.7 The Ticket.

Trade Scenarios That Have Been Speculated
The Cowboys have yet to publicly connect themselves to an outside player, and The Star is keeping quiet about it. However, prior of the deadline, a number of media sites speculated on whether the club should be buyers or sellers.
Dallas is linked to three presumably trade-blocked players, according to Bleacher Report: Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden, Detroit Lions defensive lineman Michael Brockers, and New York Jets safety Marcus Maye, who is perhaps the most realistic target following starting S Damontae Kazee’s DWI arrest on Tuesday.
“Bringing Marcus Maye into the mix may assist,” according to BR’s Alex Ballentine, referring to the Cowboys’ secondary. “Maye has only been in three games for the Jets this season, but when targeted, he has a passing rating of 83.3 and has allowed no touchdowns. However, adding the safety may be difficult. Financially, it would be a challenge. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Maye would be due approximately $6 million if moved before the deadline, and the club is closer to moving him because of a DUI conviction that may result in a ban from the league.
“With the additions of Jayron Kearse, Malik Hooker, and Damontae Kazee, the Cowboys have taken a proactive approach to resolving their safety concerns. Still, it’s a position that might be bettered, and Maye would be a good fit.”
On the offensive side of the ball, ESPN’s Todd Archer identified wide receiver Michael Gallup as the Cowboys’ most likely trade chip, citing the group’s potential, which includes CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper.
“The Cowboys would prefer not to do this,” Archer wrote, “but Gallup hasn’t played since the opening due to a calf ailment and is in the last year of his contract.” “Could the Cowboys make a trade for an urgent need (cornerback, defensive lineman) or a future draft pick?” Gallup is a big-play threat who complements Dak Prescott well in the passing game, but Cedric Wilson has stepped in well as the No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb. Wilson, too, will be a free agent in the near future. The Cowboys may be able to receive something in return because of the group’s quality, but they don’t want to lose Gallup.

Moore and Quinn’s HC Prospects are discussed by Jones.
Several NFL clubs, including the Denver Broncos, will be looking for a new head coach this offseason, and the Cowboys have two coaches that should spark interest: offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Despite the fact that the organization’s Super Bowl ambitions would rather them stay beyond 2021, Jones has said that he will not prohibit Moore or Quinn from achieving big-seat status.
“You always want to keep the people that help you succeed.” At the same time, it’s all part of the job… Jones stated Thursday on 96.7 The Ticket, via The Athletic, “Hopefully you have some outstanding coaches on staff who are ready [to step up].”
