The Los Angeles Lakers Rumors is a blog post about the rumors of who the LA Lakers are looking to acquire. Read more in detail here: nba rumors: lakers.
Going into the upcoming NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers will have a lot of work to do. The reigning NBA Champions were knocked out of the NBA Playoffs in the first round by the Phoenix Suns. Injuries to LeBron James and Anthony Davis during the season and in the playoffs played a major role in the Lakers’ demise. When the Lakers’ dynamic combination was absent, there was clearly no third option to shoulder the burden. And it’s something the Lakers are hoping to alter this off-season.
Despite the fact that the off-season has only just begun, the Lakers front staff has been hard at work thus far. Several NBA players have been connected to the Lakers, according to rumors. So it’s obvious that the Lakers are considering a variety of alternatives to strengthen their roster. But, thus far, who of the players who have been connected have dominated the news? Here are some of the guys who have been connected to the Lakers so far.
Russell Westbrook is a basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma

Westbrook, perhaps the biggest name on this list, may return to his hometown of Los Angeles. According to reports, the Lakers and Wizards are in negotiations to finalize a deal. Last season, Westbrook was moved to the Washington Wizards when the Houston Rockets decided to part ways with the Westbrook-Harden duo after only one season. And Westbrook once again broke the rules of basketball with his individual exploits. His stat lines from various games were amazing, and he broke even more records this season. While Westbrook’s ability as a first and second option on a championship team has been questioned, he might be a fantastic third option. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook as a trio would instantly elevate the Lakers to championship contender level. Next season, they could pose a serious threat to the Brooklyn Nets and their big three.
Westbrook’s performances, on the other hand, aren’t a reason for worry. The Lakers should ideally seek for a superstar who can compensate for the team’s flaws. Three-point shooting is their greatest flaw. Westbrook, on the other hand, has struggled from beyond the arc. He isn’t a great shooter from beyond the arc, so he might be a liability if LeBron and AD have a bad night on the floor. Westbrook, on the other hand, more than makes up for his lack of three-point shooting on the offensive end with his point and assist averages over the course of a season.
Ricky Rubio is a Republican presidential candidate.

Rob Pelinka and the Lakers’ front staff are contemplating the Spanish guard, who is perhaps the most unexpected name on the list. Rubio is presently with the Minnesota Timberwolves and may be interested in joining a club with more NBA ambitions. Rubio has been tried in the NBA and has shown to be a capable player. He is only being evaluated as a backup if the Lakers are unable to reach a deal with Dennis Schroder. The German guard has high contract demands for the Lakers, which has proven to be a roadblock in their attempts to re-sign him. Furthermore, his poor playoff performance does not assist his case for the large amount he is seeking.
Rubio might be a good point guard option for the Lakers. While Rubio isn’t a superstar, the Lakers know what they’re getting in him: a reliable and capable point guard who can score and create for the Lakers, particularly when LeBron and AD are on the bench. Keep an eye on Rubio’s position if Schroder does depart LA, and see if the Lakers make this move.

In the past 24 hours, Buddy Hield’s ties to the Los Angeles Lakers have become stronger. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are interested in dealing for the sharpshooter this offseason.
According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for a third great player to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis by providing playmaking and shot creation. According to The Athletic, the Lakers and Sacramento Kings have explored a trade focused on guard Buddy Hield. According to reports, Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma would be part of a possible deal. According to reports, the Lakers have received interest in Kuzma from a number of clubs.
Hield would be a fantastic addition to the Lakers’ roster heading into the upcoming season. He’ll provide a key component to their offensive game that they’ve been missing: perimeter shooting. They’d attract all the focus to themselves with LeBron James directing the offense and Anthony Davis dominating the paint. As a result, Buddy Hield will be able to take advantage of many totally open looks. Hield would be a fantastic addition to the Lakers’ squad, helping them climb back up the championship standings.
DeMar DeRozan is a player who plays for the Toronto Raptors.

Since last year’s offseason, the Lakers have been connected to DeMar DeRozan. In 2018, DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard, who was traded to the Toronto Raptors. DeRozan’s first season with the Spurs was a disappointment, as they failed to make the playoffs. After his second season, DeRozan had a player option, and the Lakers were contemplating signing him. DeRozan, on the other hand, decided to remain with the Spurs. DeRozan had a stronger season with the Spurs this time, and he was a potential All-Star snub.
The greatest issue around DeRozan and the Lakers is whether or not he will fit in with the team. DeRozan can play a variety of positions on the floor, but his primary position is that of a forward. To complete the fit, either LeBron James or Anthony Davis would have to switch positions. DeRozan, on the other hand, would help the Lakers add another strong offensive option to their lineup. However, his defense has remained stagnant over the years, so the Lakers may be hesitant to sign him.
Kyle Lowry is a forward for the Los Angeles Lakers
The Toronto Star is a newspaper based in Toronto
Last season, the Lakers were in talks with the Raptors at the trade deadline, but the transaction fell through. In any possible trade, the Lakers were not willing to give up Talen Horton-Tucker. They may now sign Lowry as a free agent without having to trade THT. During the off-season, the Lakers are expected to pass on Dennis Schroder and let other players go or be dealt through a sign-and-trade. That would free up enough cap room for them to sign Lowry at his desired salary. When LeBron and AD are on the bench, Lowry would be a great complement to the Lakers’ offense.
Lowry’s age is the greatest stumbling block. Lowry is 35 years old right now, and the Lakers must decide if they want to add another aging star to their payroll alongside LeBron James. Despite his age, Lowry has shown his ability to perform at a high level and has championship experience.
This offseason, the Lakers have a lot of work ahead of them. However, as they have shown in the past, they are capable of making significant adjustments to their squad in order to raise them to championship status. The Lakers will try to work out a contract that will benefit both LeBron and AD next season.
